Quilvest Capital Partners’s senior partners have an average of over 15 years of private equity experience and hail from unique and diverse backgrounds such as strategic consulting, general management, law, investment banking, and private equity. Additionally, the investment professionals are supported by the Quilvest infrastructure and deeply experienced operational teams around the world.
Charlie joined Quilvest in 2017. He is a Middle Officer in the Luxembourg office.
He acts has a coordinator between the investment teams and the supporting functions, service providers and regulators, with a focus on private equity deals and carried interest monitoring.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Charlie started his career in auditing and advisory firms, first at Denjean & Associés in Paris, then at Deloitte Luxembourg. He provided services to clients operating in the Private Equity and Real Estate industries.
Charlie holds a Master of Accounting, Control and Audit from IAE France as well as an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Financial Management awarded by the French government.
Rida joined Quilvest in 2016. He is a Middle Officer at Quilvest Capital Partners in Luxembourg.
He is focused on carried interests matters, specialized in the follow-up of the investment performance from the target to final investors.
Before joining Quilvest, Rida spent 7 years at Deloitte (Luxembourg and Abu Dhabi) as a financial auditor specialized in private equity firms.
Rida graduated from ESC Tour-Poitiers with a Master in Financial Management.
Charles joined Quilvest in 2015. He is Principal in the London office, with a focus on buyout fund investments and co-investments in Europe.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Charles spent 2 years as a Senior Investment Associate at Sullivan Street Partners, a mid-market UK private equity firm. Prior to that, Charles worked for 2 years within the EMEA M&A team at Barclays Capital and for 4 years within the Emerging Europe M&A team at Nomura, where he focused primarily on cross-border transactions.
Charles holds an MSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Warwick.
Head of Operations
Rosalie joined Quilvest in 2020 as Head of Operations. Based in the Luxembourg office, she oversees day-to-day operational activities in close collaboration with the Investment and Business Development teams. She also coordinates the business relationship with the company’s service providers.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Rosalie worked for 7 years within AXA Investment Managers Structured Finance platform both as Head of Operational Structuring and Deputy COO. She was responsible for the onboarding of new investment vehicles and transversal operational support to the investment teams.
She started her career in 2001 working for AXA IM’s Middle-Office team and then joined State Street Bank in 2004 following the outsourcing of Middle and Back-Office activities of AXA IM. At State Street, she worked as a Project Manager on the implementation of new operating models and system data conversions.
Rosalie holds a B.Sc. in Business & Economics from Trinity College Dublin and graduated from ESCP Europe Business School.
Chief Of Staff
Olivier Bischoff joined Quilvest Capital Partners in 2019 as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman Alexis Meffre. Olivier works on corporate projects in close coordination with Alexis and the Executive Committee of Quilvest Capital Partners.
Before joining, Olivier spent five years as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Paris and Sydney offices. He worked on various client assignments, covering a wide range of corporate and strategic topics (market entry, growth strategy, digital transformation, operating model, turnaround).
Prior to this experience, he also worked at Ardian within Mid-Cap buyout investment team and at BNP Paribas in Mergers & Acquisitions department in Paris.
He holds a MSc from ESSEC Business School.
Lama Bou Dargham is an Associate at Quilvest Capital Partners.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2015, Lama was a teaching assistant in the Finance department in the American University of Science and Technology in Beirut where she was responsible for mentoring MBA students and seniors in advanced finance courses.
She earned her CFA Charter in April 2019 and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Emirates.
Lama studied Mathematics in the Lebanese University in Beirut and then pursued a BSc. in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance and graduated with High Distinction and President’s award from the American University of Science and Technology in Beirut in 2015.
She is married with no kids.
Eli joined Quilvest in 2021. He is a Senior Associate on the Real Estate team focused on direct investments across the US.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Eli was a Senior Associate at Cerberus Capital Management within the Real Estate team. Prior to Cerberus, Eli was an Investment Banking Analyst at Citigroup in the Real Estate & Lodging Group.
Eli graduated from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration with a Bachelor of Science.
Lily is a Vice-President, Portfolio Monitoring, in the private equity fund investments group. She performs due diligence on fund investments and co-investments in the emerging markets for QS GEO.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2010, Lily was an analyst for Zephyr Management, an asset management firm where she was responsible for the execution and due diligence of direct investments in the emerging markets. Lily holds an MBA from Colombia Business School and a BS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Blakely is a Senior Analyst on Quilvest’s direct investment team based in New York. He works on the closing and due diligence of direct buyout investments. Prior to joining Quilvest in 2021, Blakely spent two years as an investment banking analyst in the Diversified Industrials & Services group at Piper Sandler, focusing on mergers and acquisitions.
Blakely graduated from Wake Forest University, School of Business where he studied Finance and Psychology.
Bernard has been the General Counsel of Quilvest Capital Partners since 2013.
He works with the investment teams and is the secretary of the Board of Directors. Bernard also serves as director of BBB Foods, Inc. (Tiendas 3B) and several other companies.
Before joining Quilvest, Bernard worked as a qualified lawyer (Avocat à la Cour) with the Luxembourg law firm Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen, and prior to that was a legal counsel with a Luxembourg private bank (Banque de Luxembourg) and an investment bank (Crédit Agricole Corporate Investment Bank) in Frankfurt am Main.
He holds a Master’s in Law and a D.E.A. from the Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II.
Vivian is an Associate and joined Quilvest Private Equity in Hong Kong in 2019. She works on the due diligence of funds investments and direct co-investments in Asia (primarily China & India).
Prior to joining Quilvest, Vivian was an analyst with Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in Hong Kong. She holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering from Princeton University.
Partner, Executive Committee Member, Co-Head of Private Debt
Benton is a Partner of Quilvest Private Equity and is based in New York. Benton is responsible for credit focused products at Quilvest and has over 20 years of private equity experience. He is a member of the Executive Committee and registered officer of Quilvest Securities (US Broker Dealer).
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2012, Benton was a Managing Director at Prospect Capital, a New York based Business Development Company (BDC) with approximately $2 billion in assets. While at Prospect, Benton was a member of Investment Committee and was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and closing senior debt, junior debt, and equity investments.
Before joining Prospect, Benton was a Managing Director at Allied Capital, a leading BDC with over $4 billion in assets. Benton led Allied’s private finance group in New York with responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing investments.
Prior to Allied Capital, Benton was an Associate with Morgan Stanley in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group where he focused on M&A and public equity and debt offerings.
Benton earned a BA in history from Dartmouth College and an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Benton is married with three children.
Abhishek joined Quilvest Private Equity in 2013. He is a Vice President in the fund investments and co-investments team in Asia, with a focus on India and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Abhishek was an analyst in Nomura’s investment banking team in Singapore. Abhishek holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Charles is a Partner of Quilvest Private Equity and its credit focused QS Capital Strategies group. Charles is responsible for all aspects of investment activities including sourcing, evaluating, negotiating and closing senior debt, junior debt and equity investments. He has over 20-years of experience as a private debt and equity investor and investment banking professional.
Prior to joining Quilvest during 2015, Charles’s principal investing experience included positions in the New York, NY offices of Allied Capital, a private debt and equity investment manager, and Kohlberg Capital’s credit platform.
Charles began his career as an investment banking professional in the M&A, corporate finance and research departments at Lehman Brothers in Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY and Merrill Lynch in New York, NY.
Charles is a registered officer of Quilvest Securities (US Broker Dealer).
Charles is a graduate of the University of Arkansas.
Adrien de Boisanger is the Chairman of Quilvest S.A. and a director of Quilvest & Partners S.A. He is the co-founder of 360 Advisory LLP, an FCA regulated buy-side advisory firm, specialising in unlisted equity transactions.
Prior to 360 Advisory, Adrien spent over 15 years working in various Investment Banking divisions of leading Financial Institutions (RBS, Merrill Lynch and BNP Paribas), in Madrid, Paris and London.
During the course of his career, Adrien has advised Financial Institutions and Corporate clients in structuring highly complex financial engineering structures, working in both Fixed Income and Equity divisions.
His managerial responsibilities ranged from origination and structuring, to the execution of cross-border financial transactions.
Adrien acted as Guest Teacher in Finance at the London School of Economics, where he received an award for “outstanding contribution to teaching” in 2014.
He is the Chairman of the supervisory board of Quilvest Banque Privée, and a member of the board of International Advisory Services, the Bemberg family council.
Adrien graduated from Paris II University (MA Company and Tax Law), and holds two post-graduate degrees from University College London (LLM), and the London School of Economics (Finance).
Adrien de Boisanger lives in London.
Elias is a Senior Associate within the Business Development team. He joined Quilvest Capital Partners in 2020 and is based in Paris. Elias ensures, through his interactions with the Investment and Operation teams, a coverage of the various Business Development activities, which include defining the BD strategy, building marketing materials, coordinating fundraising activities and participating in consulting assignments for family offices (family governance & transition, investment strategy, etc.)
Prior to joining Quilvest Capital Partners, Elias was an MBA intern at Reach Capital, an independent fundraising and strategic advisory firm specialized in the Alternative Assets industry. He also spent 5 years at Deloitte Paris in the Risk Advisory practice working on various leading industrial clients assignments.
Elias holds an MBA from HEC Paris and an MSc in Engineering from EFREI Paris.
Craig Donaldson was appointed to the board in 2018 – and is chairman of the Renumeration and Nomination Committee.
With 30 years of experience in alternative investments, including private equity, real estate, energy, forestry, private debt and other control-oriented investment strategies, his responsibilities have included investments, portfolio management, business strategy and planning, team building, management, external communications, fundraising and client service.
Mr. Donaldson was a founding partner of HgCapital, a leading private equity firm (he retired in 2017). Craig was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and served on its Investment, Portfolio Review and Valuation Committees. He led the partnership’s client functions, its co-investment activities, and its business strategy and planning work. Prior to co-founding HgCapital in 2000, Craig held investment, portfolio management and client roles at Clarion Partners, UBS and PGIM. He is a graduate of Babson College.
Craig maintains an active non-executive agenda involving charitable, corporate and private business activities. He is an independent director and advisor to investment firms, portfolio companies and limited partners – and devotes significant time to mentoring. He is strategic advisor to London-based Tenzing Private Equity and to a private New York and Palo Alto-based investment group and family office. He also provides project-based advice to a European alternatives business. Craig was a board member of TPC Broadband, and mentored the company’s CEO (the business was sold to private equity in June, 2020). Craig co-chairs the Investment Committee for the endowment of Babson College, where he is a trustee and a member of the board’s Executive Committee. Craig proudly serves as mentor to a US Naval officer and former Seal Team Commander.
Edouard is a Principal at Quilvest Capital Partners. He has spent the last 14+ years working with families, family offices, business owners, and management teams on a variety of topics including mergers and acquisitions, financing, wealth creation and preservation, and family governance issues.
He currently focuses on advising top-tier families to ensure their objectives are met both in terms of assets performance and unity of their members. Select recent assignments include the monitoring of a family asset allocation strategy, the drafting and implementation of a new family governance, the facilitation of a family generational transition, the conception of initiatives designed to encourage a family unity and entrepreneurship programs, the organization and animation of multiple family shareholder assemblies.
He also serves as the Chief of Staff and CFO of the Advisory Council of a leading international family.
Prior to joining Quilvest Capital Partners, Edouard spent five years in New York, mostly at the auction house Christie’s where he was the Business Director of Private Sales for the North American region. He was in charge of the management of the Private Sales channel for the Impressionist, Post-War and other departments. He was also involved in the organization of high-end Private Sales exhibitions designed to promote the works of both renowned and promising artists.
From 2006 to 2011, Edouard worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Lazard in Paris where he advised entrepreneurs and family business owners on corporate divestitures and acquisitions covering a wide range of industries including retail, food, automotive, insurance, transportation, accommodation, and industrials.
Edouard holds a MSc in Management from ESCP Europe, with a major in Finance.
He is married with three children.
Chief Technology Officer
In his role as Chief Technology Officer for Quilvest Capital Partners, Fouad is responsible for driving the evolution of application development, program management and Infrastructure Services portfolio. He develops technological frameworks to fundamentally transform the efficiency and effectiveness throughout tall departments. These solutions transform our Private Equity business processes to leverage technologies, add strategic business value and give them a competitive advantage. He has 15 years of experience in IT Management, with prior major experiences at Deloitte and at the Luxembourg local regulator (CSSF).
Fouad graduated in Information Technology (Master Degree) and holds multiple certifications in IT, Project Management, IT Audit & IT Security.
Christophe Evain was appointed to the board in June 2021. he is also the President of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.
Mr Evain is a highly experienced and successful investment professional, having held a number of leading positions in top European financial institutions during a career that spans more than three decades. During his twenty-year tenure at Intermediate Capital Group, he served as Group Managing Director, London, was responsible for international operations and business development, and sat on the company’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee. Following this, he assumed the dual role of CEO and CIO for seven years.
As an active non-executive, Mr Evain continues to advise some of Europe’s top companies, most recently acting as Non-Executive at Land Securities Plc and as Chairman of Bridges Fund Management. Christophe is also an Executive Fellow at London Business School.
Partner, Co-Head of Private Debt
Henrik Falktoft is a Partner of Quilvest Private Equity. He joined Quilvest USA in 2007, responsible for sourcing, negotiating and closing private equity investments in the U.S., including growth equity investments, recapitalizations and buyouts. Since 2012 Henrik has responsible for credit focused products at Quilvest.
He has four decades of international business experience and has held senior positions in private equity, investment banking and general management. He started his career in 1976 with A.P. Moller-Maersk, first in his native Denmark and then in Taiwan, Tokyo and New York in marketing and sales for Maersk Line’s shipping routes.
After earning his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1987, Henrik joined Morgan Stanley in New York, where he worked on M&A, corporate finance and capital markets transactions, including a four-month stint in London.
Henrik joined ZS Fund L.P., a New York private equity firm, as a partner in 1990. During his tenure, the firm made successful lead investments in a number of companies across a range of industries. He served as a director for public and private companies and was responsible for acquisitions and several highly profitable assets sales.
Henrik next worked with Deutsche Bank in Tokyo, building a new private equity group for the bank and later in acquiring distressed mortgage portfolios. He was responsible for a number of strategic corporate initiatives, including a partnership with Mitsui Bank in investment banking and the formation of an Asian venture capital fund.
He lives with his wife and daughter in New York City.
Robin Filmer-Wilson was appointed director of the Company on June 10th, 2016. His term of office expires in the year 2022. Mr. Robin Filmer-Wilson is a founding shareholder of LABCO SAS, Europe’s largest diagnostic group, which he developed from EUR 25m in turnover to EUR 650m in turnover between 2004 to 2015, when the group was eventually sold to Cinven.
Robin is an experienced private equity professional with a global career beginning in 1998 at Brown Brothers Harriman in New York followed by Baring Private Equity, TCR Capital and most recently, ArchiMed SAS, Europe’s leading independent healthcare private equity group where he is a Managing Partner. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Hera Capital, a SE Asian private equity group and a Director of Menalabs Cerba, a Middle Eastern diagnostic group. Robin holds a BSFS from Georgetown University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Chief Compliance Officer
Manuel is the Group Compliance Manager. He is based in New York and is specifically in charge of the Quilvest entities operating in the US. He is Principal of Quilvest Securities (US Broker Dealer).
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2009, Manuel gained 15 years of experience in the financial sector. He worked successively as audit and compliance manager from 2004 to 2009 for Bank Sarasin Europe S.A. in Luxembourg.
He joined Credit Lyonnais Luxembourg in 1999 as senior auditor and became head of internal audit in 2001.
Manuel started his career in 1995 as external auditor with KPMG Luxembourg.
Manuel is a graduate of ESC Reims (NEOMA) and has since 2008 a degree in Compliance Management of the University of Geneva.
Michael Foster is a Senior Advisor and member of the Investment Committee for Quilvest Real Estate since 2010.
Mike has over 35 years of real estate investing experience in over 13 countries around the world. He spent 15 years at Morgan Stanley where he was the Global Head of Asset Management and the CEO of Morgan Stanley Properties for all of the Morgan Stanley family of real estate funds (MSREF), responsible for over $90BN of assets under management, over 200 in-house professionals and over 50 different third-party operating partners in 13 countries throughout the world.
Since retiring from Morgan Stanley in April 2008, Mike has provided consulting services on a variety of real estate projects to clients in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, and the U.S.
Specifically, the major projects include building asset management companies in Spain, France and Germany, turning around a broken office development in Turkey, and liquidating the remaining asset portfolio in Europe for a major investment bank.
He has also served as Senior Advisor to several PE Real Estate Firms such as GreenOak Real Estate, FREO Group, and most currently DEA Capital Real Estate France and Situs.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he worked in the Goldman Sachs Whitehall Funds in their Asset Management Group, was Director of Corporate Real Estate at TIE/Communications and prior to that was Vice President of Operations at Citibank.
Mike holds an MBA from Bryant College and a BA from Holy Cross College. He holds the IREM designation of CPM. He is also a retired Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
Chad is an Associate on Quilvest’s direct investments team. Prior to joining Quilvest in 2021, Chad worked as an Analyst at Jefferies in the Media, Communications and Information Services (MCIS) Group where he worked on M&A, debt and equity transactions.
Before joining Jefferies, Chad was an Analyst in the Technology Group at KeyBanc Capital Markets.
Hichem is a Vice President of Quilvest Private Equity. He is involved in the sourcing and execution of direct buyout investments in Europe.
Before joining Quilvest, Hichem spent four years in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of UBS in Paris. While at UBS, Hichem worked on the execution of several transactions in France and Europe as well as on origination and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining UBS, Hichem worked as an intern at Société Générale, BNP Paribas and E&Y.
Hichem is a graduate of Ecole Centrale Paris with a major in Financial Mathematics.
Partner, Head of Real Estate
Barry joined Quilvest in January 2010. He is a Partner in the New York Office, where he is responsible for identifying and closing fund-level, secondary, and direct real estate investments across the Americas. Barry is a registered officer of Quilvest Securities (US Broker Dealer).
Prior to joining Quilvest, Barry was a member of the investment team in DLJ/Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Private Equity Group where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibilities since 2001. During his tenure at Credit Suisse, Barry was responsible for acquiring and managing opportunistic real estate investments for their discretionary funds, where he focused on properties, operating companies and distressed debt secured by real estate throughout the capital structure and across all sectors in the industry.
After executing the transactions, he remained involved with ongoing asset management responsibilities, including devising workout and repositioning strategies for portfolio investments, obtaining title to properties via the foreclosure and bankruptcy processes, and overseeing operating partners and business plans.
Barry graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with degrees in finance and accounting. He is married with three children.
Senior Executive Officer
Carlos Héneiné is Senior Executive Officer of Quilvest Dubai, which handles co-investor relationships with regional family offices and institutions. He is the co-founder of Quilvest Private Equity in Emerging Markets and a Senior Advisor to Quilvest Private Equity, serving on the Investment Committee of Quilvest Global Funds and EM Co-investments.
Carlos started his career at British Aerospace (now BAE Systems) and after his MBA embarked on a 10 year stint in Consulting at Booz Allen and Hamilton (now Booz Inc) and Mercer Management (now Oliver Wyman).
He shifted to the financial sector in 1999 when he joined Banque Saradar as Head of Strategy before assuming his functions at Quilvest in 2005.
Carlos holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology at London University. He is an Advisory board member or board observer on a number of Quilvest’s funds and co-investments. In addition Carlos is on the Latin Council of EMPEA, the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. He is married with twin daughters.
Gerran joined Quilvest in Hong Kong in 2021. He is responsible for the sourcing, due diligence and execution of private equity funds and co-investments in Greater China.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Gerran was a Managing Director at EQT where he spent 11 years sourcing, executing, and monitoring direct control and co-control private equity investments. He also served as ESG Ambassador for the firm in Asia. Gerran started his career as an investment banker at Credit Suisse and ABN AMRO in Hong Kong.
Gerran received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University majoring in Industrial Engineering & Management Science.
David has been a Senior Adviser to Quilvest Real Estate since 2009 and sits on the Investment Committee. He is a professional strategic adviser focused principally on UK and international real estate. He is on the boards of both listed and unlisted companies in the UK and overseas, including as chairman of Custodian REIT PLC and ICG-Longbow (the real estate division of Intermediate Capital Group plc), a non-executive director of GCP Student Living plc and a director of two Indian property funds. He has previously been chairman of NR Nordic and Russia Properties and of South African Property Opportunities.
David qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1978 and had over 25 years’ experience as a fund manager, including as managing director of Aberdeen Asset Management’s € 8bn property fund business, before he set up his consultancy in 2005. He is a past president of the British Property Federation and was actively involved in the introduction of REITs to the UK. He is Honorary Swedish Consul to Glasgow and an Honorary Professor of real estate at Heriot-Watt University.
Ali is a Partner, with responsibilities to develop and manage Quilvest’s investor base, and he is based out of the NY office.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Ali was Senior Vice President at Middle East Capital Group, a regional investment bank, heading the organization’s capital markets and fund raising activities.
Ali started his career in 1986 at the Saudi French Bank, the Saudi affiliate of Banque IndoSuez. Following a year in the credit department, Ali moved to the Bank’s treasury and capital market department, and became a trader in the Foreign Exchange and Forward Currencies markets. In 1988 he moved to London with Saudi International Bank, in the forward currency trading unit and then in the asset management department as an Assistant Investment Manager, focusing on commodities based companies in the Canadian and Australian equity markets. In 1994, Ali rejoined the Saudi French Bank to head its Private Banking Department, in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia.
Ali is a graduate of the George Washington University, Washington DC.
Finley is a Partner in New York focused on sourcing and closing private equity fund and co-investments in North America. He is a registered officer of Quilvest Securities (US Broker Dealer).
Prior to joining Quilvest, Finley was a Vice President at GE Equity, the $2.5 billion private equity arm of GE Capital. Finley was responsible for all aspects of the investment process including the sourcing and execution of new investments. Finley also managed a $500 million direct and co-investment portfolio. Additionally, Finley was a member of Energy Technology Ventures, a joint-venture between GE, NRG Energy and ConocoPhillips focused on investing in next generation technologies within the energy space.
Before re-joining GE, Finley was a Senior Associate at Loughlin Management Partners, a middle-market restructuring advisor. Within his role, Finley managed and contributed to the execution of corporate restructurings in a variety of industries including TMT, Industrials and Consumer Products.
Finley has also held various corporate finance advisory roles at GE Capital, KPMG and Deutsche Bank.
Finley received an MBA from The Johnson School at Cornell University and a BBA from Pace University. He is a CPA licensed in the State of New York and is a CFA charterholder.
Michael has over 23 years of experience in real estate private equity, having worked in Europe, Asia and the U.S. He started as one of the initiating members of the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds in Europe, working with the firm out of London and NYC. He was then a founding partner of Soros Real Estate (later Grove International Partners). He built up the firm’s business in Asia which at its peak held 7 investment platforms with close to $2.0bn equity invested in a variety of asset classes including commercial real estate, non-performing loans, hospitality, healthcare and retail. Michael was responsible for raising the firm’s largest $2bn RGI fund, he was the co-Chair of the partnership committee, a member of the investment committee and the co-Chair of Grove Fund Management.
Most recently, he was an Operating Partner and Member of the Management Advisory Board of Towerbrook Capital Partners in London and a Managing Partner at Synaxia Capital. Michael received a BS in Management from the London School of Economics. He is Greek citizen. He speaks English, French and Greek.
Michele joined Quilvest in 2005 as Partner in charge of all Quilvest private equity fund investments in the US. She became a Senior Advisor in 2018 and is a member of the Investment Committees for developed and emerging markets fund programs.
Michele has over 30 years of private equity and banking experience. For 3 years, she managed private fund investments for Royal Bank of Canada, consulting extensively throughout North America to investors interested in the asset class. Prior to RBC, she was with JPMorgan Chase and its predecessors for over 22 years.
She oversaw clients’ multi-manager private equity portfolios for Chase Alternative Asset Management, Inc., conducted due diligence and made investment recommendations for Chase’s private equity funds of funds, managing over US $1 billion in the portfolios. Earlier in her career with JPMC, she held various management positions in Private Banking, Corporate Banking, Acquisition Finance and Risk Management.
Michele also recently assumed the role of US Advisory Director for Campbell Lutyens, a global placement and advisory firm to private alternative investments industries. She holds an MBA from the Whittemore School at the University of New Hampshire and an AB in Economics and Psychology from Smith College. She is married with two sons.
Michael is a Vice President and is responsible for the diligence and structuring of new investments as well as post-closing portfolio company activity.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2018, Michael was as an Associate at Capital Southwest, a credit-focused BDC that is a lender to middle market companies across the capital structure.
Prior to Capital Southwest, he served as an Analyst in Jefferies’ Global Industrials division where he worked on debt, equity and M&A transactions. Michael graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
Karim is an Associate in the Paris office and part of the Business Development team.
He is in charge of Investor Relations and reporting. Karim also focuses on monitoring Quilvest’s private debt funds, SBIC.
Prior to joining Quilvest Private Equity, Karim worked for a Middle Eastern-based family office where he was in charge of investments due diligence and portfolio monitoring.
Karim holds a BA in Business Administration from the American University of Paris.
Guillaume is a Principal of Quilvest Private Equity in the direct investment team based in Paris.
Since joining Quilvest in 2010, Guillaume has participated in numerous private equity investments in France and in Europe, and has served on the Board of Directors of a number of portfolio companies including Acrotec, Vanksen and Eudonet.
Guillaume started his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Rothschild in Paris. While at Rothschild, Guillaume was involved in the execution of several transactions (sell-side, buy-side, financing and strategic advice) in France and Europe as well as in origination and marketing initiatives. He worked for large corporate, midcaps and financial sponsors in various industries with a particular focus on Aerospace & Defence. While at business school, Guillaume also spent time with Schneider Electric in the Internal Audit department.
Guillaume holds a MSc in Management from HEC Paris (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) with a major in Finance.
Chief Financial Officer, Executive Committee Member
Jean-Benoît Lachaise is the Chief Financial Officer of Quilvest and heads in Luxembourg all group central activities. He is member of the Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2004, Jean-Benoît was CFO and Risk Manager of Credit Lyonnais Luxembourg (Euro 4 billion AUM). He became member of the Bank’s Executive Committee in 1999.
He joined Credit Lyonnais Luxembourg in 1997 as Head of Internal Audit. Earlier, he was Internal Auditor at Credit Suisse Luxembourg from 1994 to 1997.
Prior to his banking career, Jean-Benoît worked for two years as a Financial Controller for an automotive industrial company (Guardian Industries).
He started his career with audit firms, first with Arthur Andersen and then with Coopers & Lybrand. Jean-Benoît is a graduate of ESC Bordeaux.
Loeïz is a Partner in Quilvest’s direct investment team. He works on the due diligence of direct buyout investments in Europe. Since joining Quilvest in 2006, he has served on the Board of Directors of a number of portfolio companies including Sogetrel, EDH, and Tortilla.
Before joining Quilvest in 2006, Loeïz spent 2 years with the Boston Consulting Group in Paris and Barcelona.
Loeïz is a graduate of HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales), and was awarded an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also holds a masters in French corporate law.
Patrick joined Quilvest in 2015. He is a principal in the Paris office, and chief investment officer for Europe and Asia, covering primary fund investments co-investments and direct investments.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Patrick was a real estate investment manager in Deutsche Bank’s Asset & Wealth Management group, where he also held various investment committee memberships. During his tenure at DB’s AWM, Patrick was responsible for originating and structuring core plus, value added and opportunistic fund investments or co-investment opportunities for DB AWM’S clients on an advisory basis.
Prior to that, Patrick spent over 6 years in real estate fund management teams at Citi Property Investors and Deutsche Bank’s Real Estate Opportunities Group (RREEF), where he held positions of increasing responsibilities in transaction execution and asset management oversight. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Patrick spent two years at Lazard Frères in Paris.
Patrick is a graduate of HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) in Paris.
Le Blanc de Choisay
Grégoire joined Quilvest in 2007. He works on the due diligence of direct investments and private equity funds primarily in Europe. He also participates in the monitoring and reporting of QS PEP.
Prior to that, Gregoire worked in mergers and acquisitions, notably at Deloitte and Crédit Agricole where he was involved in the execution of transactions in the service industry and manufacturing sector.
He also has a previous experience in audit and financial controlling.
He graduated from La Sorbonne (MSG) and holds a master in financial engineering from ESLSCA, awarded with honors.
Based out of our London office, Jean-François is a Partner of Quilvest Private Equity within the Funds and Co-investments team with a focus on Europe. Jean-François is a member of the Development Markets and Emerging Markets Investment Committees. He also sits on the Advisory Board of various PE funds.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Jean-François gained seven years of management and strategic consulting experience as a Senior Associate Consultant with Bain & Company and a Junior Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company.
At McKinsey, Jean-François worked with several European private equity funds in various industries, in particular the media and consumer goods sectors. His assignments included strategic and market due diligence, and merger and acquisition valuations. Prior to his consulting career, Jean-François worked for two years as an Analyst at Société Générale in São Paulo, Brazil.
Jean-François is a graduate of HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Head of Operations
Frances is the Director of Operations for the New York Office. She is responsible for the US budget and overseas all accounting and operational services in the US. Prior to joining Quilvest in January 2005, Frances was the CFO at The Onion, an American satirical media company and newspaper organization. While at The Onion, Frances was a member of the management team and prepared the consolidated financial statements. Prior to The Onion, Frances was the Assistant Controller at SG Capital Partners, a $450 million middle market private equity fund focused on growth and leveraged buyout investments. Frances was responsible for the accounting of the fund and management reporting.
Frances earned her BBA in Finance from the Lubin School of Business of Pace University.
Andrew is a Senior Associate based in New York focused on the closing and due diligence of private equity fund and co-investments in North America.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Andrew was an Associate within Citi’s Loan Syndications Group where he executed corporate and private equity-backed syndicated debt financings. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Wake Forest University.
Marc is a Senior Partner and Real Estate Advisor to the Executive Chairman of Quilvest Private Equity. He established and led Quilvest Real Estate until December 2018.
Before joining Quilvest in February 2008, Marc was for more than 7 years Alliance Hospitality Group CEO. A group of companies which owned and managed Goldman Sachs key hotel portfolios in France, Belgium and Italy (80 hotels +/10.000 rooms over the period), sold to Blackstone in October 2007.
Prior to that, Marc enjoyed more than 20 years of direct experience in Real Estate development. As CEO of several private investment funds owned by banks or/and high net worth individuals, he led the concept development and construction of two up market multi-component resorts and smaller redevelopment projects representing 180.000sqm of new built floor area.
He also developed and sold before construction Mariott first fractional ownership resort in Europe. In addition, over the same period, Marc had the opportunity to audit, re-engineer or redevelop a dozen mixed-use developments, significantly changing the course of events.
On the hospitality front, he restructured, renovated and managed two hotel portfolios (other than Goldman Sachs’) which included independent luxury hotels and mid-market branded properties.
Overall, Marc has directly managed the bulk sale, or, divestment process of clusters of assets representing transactions between US$ 50 Million and US$ 1Billion, totalling US$ 1,7Billion.
Before shifting to Real Estate, he started his career as a Marketing Planner and then Client Servicing Director. For 6 years, he covered the MEA region advising international clients including: Gillette, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, British American Tobacco, Rowntree MacKintosh, Toyota Cars, Singapore Airlines.
Marc holds a H.N.D. in Marketing from the College for the Distributive Trades (London) and an MBA from INSEAD. He is married with two children.
Irving joined Quilvest in 2015. He is a Senior Associate in the Paris office, supporting the Team in the execution of primary fund investments and direct investments / co-investments in real estate markets of Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Irving worked as an intern at the Headquarters of AXA Group as part of the Group Strategic Planning team; and in the Corporate Strategic Planning department at CEMEX Global Headquarters, as part of the Business Planning team.
Irving is a graduate of Tecnológico de Monterrey and ESCP Europe in Paris with undergraduate studies in Financial Management and major in Financial Markets.
Michel Maupu is an Operating Advisor to the Private Equity Team focusing on various sectors including food & feed, chemicals, manufacturing and consumer.
Between 2007 and 2012 Michel was a Senior Advisor and Operating Partner at in the 3i Global Buy Out Team, London. Prior to this he was the CEO of ATYS Group, a global leader in fruit preparations for the dairy and bakery industries (turnover: 600 million euros).
Michel has also held several senior executive positions at Rhône-Poulenc / Rhodia Group in France, the UK, Brazil, the USA and in Asia, including serving as President and CEO of the Agrochemicals Division for 3 years and as VP of the Fibres and Polymers Division for 5 years.
Michel is an X-Mines graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris. He began his career in the French High Civil Service.
Executive Chairman, Executive Committee Member, Board Member
Alexis Meffre joined Quilvest Capital Partners in 2018 as its Executive Chairman. He heads the Executive Committee.
Alexis has over 20 years of private equity and finance experience across Europe, the USA and the Emerging Markets.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Alexis was a Director at ACG Capital (ex Groupama Private Equity): co-manager of the investment team and member of the investment committee. He was leading private equity fund Investments in primary and secondary opportunities, buy-out, venture capital / growth equity, debt funds / mezzanine, infrastructure and special situations. He was also actively involved in client relationship, fundraising and new products development.
From 2003 to 2007, Alexis worked at Proparco (a French Development Financial Institution) where he co-founded the Private Equity team, focusing on Emerging markets (direct investments, private equity fund investments and co-investments).
He started his career as financial analyst in Sydney with BNP PARIBAS Equities Australia and then joined GOLDMAN SACHS Global Investment Research focusing on EMEA markets in London.
Alexis serves on the Bemberg Family Council, as well as the Boards of Quilvest SA, Quilvest Wealth Management S.A., and Quamvest S.A. (the Quilvest Group AIFM).
Alexis is a graduate from HEC Paris (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) and IEP Paris (Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris). He is married with four children.
Jared is a Principal. He works on sourcing, closing and due diligence of direct buyout investments.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2010, Jared worked as an Analyst at Lazard Middle Market in the Food and Agriculture and the Industrials groups. Jared holds a B.S. in Economics and International Studies from Northwestern University and a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in accounting and entrepreneurship.
Larry Neubauer joined Quilvest in 2006 as a Partner based in New York. Larry focuses on making direct private equity investments in the United States.
Larry has more than 15 years of experience on Wall Street as an investor, attorney and banker. In his career on Wall Street, he has participated in over 30 buyouts transactions consisting of billions of dollars of capital. From 2005 until joining Quilvest, he was at Centre Partners, a $1.2 billion private investment firm with a middle market focus. Prior to joining Centre Partners, Larry was the founding member of Malakand Capital. Quilvest and Malakand Capital partnered on their investment in Command Alkon, where Larry functions as the lead director. From 1998 through 2002, Larry was at SG Capital Partners, a $450 million middle market private equity fund focused on growth and leveraged buyout investments.
During his tenure at SG Capital Partners, Larry served on the board of directors of several portfolio companies.
His previous professional experience includes positions at White & Case, Bankers Trust Company (in the LBO and Energy Groups), the U.S. Department of Commerce and The White House.
At Quilvest, Larry serves on the Board of Directors of both Creative Extruded Products (manufacturer of extruded plastic products primarily serving the automotive segment) and Crown Health Care Laundry Service (outsourced provider of linen services).
In addition to corporate boards, Larry serves as co-chair of the New York metro region for Aspire (the capital campaign of Princeton University), the National Annual Giving Committee and Development Leadership Council of Princeton University, the Board of Governors of the American Jewish Committee, the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Congregation Habonim and the Board of Directors of the READ Foundation.
Larry earned his A.B. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and his J.D., cum laude, and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He is married and lives in New York City with his wife and daughters.
Deputy General Counsel
Florian is the Deputy General Counsel of Quilvest Capital Partners and is based in Paris. He works with the investment and operation teams and advises on fund formation and the structuring and execution of investments and divestments.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2020, Florian was a Counsel at Emirates Investment Authority, the sovereign wealth fund of the Federal Government of the UAE, in Abu Dhabi.
Prior to that, he worked for six years in the Corporate and M&A department of Loyens & Loeff in Luxembourg and New York.
He is admitted to the Bar in Paris and Luxembourg and holds a Master Degree in Law (LLM) from Kings College London.
Olga joined Quilvest in 2018 and is responsible for all finance matters of the asset management company.
She brings more than 15 years of accounting, controlling and financial experience in both non-financial and financial sectors. Her experience is complimented with more than 10 years of lecturing Accounting, Controlling, Financial Math, Risk Management in the University.
Olga holds MSc from Baltic Federal University and Doctor degree in Economics
Matthew is a Senior Associate in the Private Debt team and is responsible for the diligence and structuring of new investments, as well as post-closing portfolio company activity.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2021, Matthew was an Associate at M3 Partners, a restructuring and turnaround advisory firm. Prior to M3 Partners, he served as an Assistant Vice-President at GAMCO Investors, where was responsible for sourcing and making industrial-focused investment recommendations across the capital structure.
Matthew received an MBA from Columbia Business School and graduated with honors from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
Agathe is an Analyst of Quilvest Private Equity. She is involved in the sourcing and execution of direct buyout investments in Europe.
Before joining Quilvest, Agathe worked in the Equity Capital Market department of Natixis in Paris.

JK is a Vice President. He works on the closing and due diligence of private equity fund and co-investments in North America.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2016, JK spent over two years as an Analyst in Nomura’s Leveraged Finance Group where he worked on various debt financings. JK received his MBA and Bachelor’s degree from Bryant University where he studied Finance and Legal Studies.
Spencer is an Associate in the Private Debt team and is responsible for the diligence and structuring of new investments, as well as post-closing portfolio company activity.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2021, Spencer was an Associate in the Leveraged Finance Group at Modern Bank, N.A. where he evaluated and underwrote lower middle market sponsor-backed debt investments. Prior to Modern Bank, Spencer served as an Associate in KPMG’s Securitization Practice where he provided advisory services to issuers and underwriters across CMBS transactions.
Spencer graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Certification in Management Information Systems.
Serge is a Senior Advisor at Quilvest Private Equity and is responsible for Business Development in the Levant and M.E.N.A. regions and Turkey.
Before joining Quilvest, Serge spent over 15 years at Merrill Lynch – Bank of America in Paris acting as a Senior First Vice President, he was in charge of wealth management and fund raising in the Middle East and Turkey and was the initiator of the North African desk. Prior to that and until 1995 , Serge was a Managing Director at Banque Française de l’Orient a subsidiary of Indosuez Bank where he overviewed for more than 11 years the bank’s commercial and international trading activities in the Middle East and Africa.
Before shifting to Banking in 1984 , Serge started his career in 1980 as a Managing Partner in a private soft commodity company and acted as a Consultant for several Multinational Companies wishing to establish themselves in the Levant region.
Serge is a graduate of the American University of Beirut – Lebanon, he holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Banking and Finance (with distinction).
Jean Reiminger is Vice President at Quilvest, responsible for developing relationships with family offices and business partners.
Prior to joining Quilvest in Paris, he worked in London advising and raising capital for high quality mid-market buyout and growth fund managers.
He started his career in Madrid at Societe Generale Asset Management where he was helping to customize portfolios of traditional and alternative investments for Spanish institutions. He then moved to New York to join the alternative investments division of Lyxor Asset Management, a fully owned subsidiary of Societe General with $160bn under management. There, he focused on helping to due diligence hedge fund managers and developing businesses with US institutions. He notably worked on large advisory mandates with Calstrs and Ontario Teachers, establishing the Lyxor brand in North America.
He then joined Chenavari Investment Managers in London, a $5bn credit alternative asset manager. He successfully launched their first UCITS long/short credit fund and raised capital for various credit investment strategies across the liquidity spectrum.
Overall, he spent most of his career between New York and London developing businesses and deep relationships with institutions, private investors and fund managers.
He is passionate about alternative investments, having worked with a broad range of asset classes from venture capital, buyout, growth, private credit to hedge funds and liquid alts. He has deep interest in early stage and disruptive companies as well as impact investing.
Jean graduated with honors from University of Paris Dauphine in 2009.
Sainz De Vicuña
Ana Sainz de Vicuña is a director of Quilvest & Partners.
From 1984 to 2003 she worked for Merrill Lynch in Spain both in the Private Banking and Investment Banking units holding a number of different managerial positions.
Since 2004 she has been a board member of Corporación Financiera Guadalmar, a diversified Family Office with assets in Spain and Latin America (mainly Argentina and Chile). She supervises the Financial Investments Committee as well as the investments in hospitality in Chile.
Ana is also member of the board of Grupo Security in Chile since 2009. Grupo Security is a Holding Company owning a Bank, an Insurance Company, an Asset Manager and a Services Company. It is listed in the Santiago de Chile Stock Exchange.
In May 2014 she joined the Board of Inmobiliaria Colonial S.A a listed holding Company who owns Real Estate in Madrid, Barcelona and Paris. She is Chairman of the Audit committee.
In June 2015 she joined the Board of Acciona S.A, a leading firm in Infrastructure, Renewable Energies and water services. She was also asked to join the Audit Committee. Acciona is also listed in the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In February 2017 she joined the Board of Prosegur Cash, listed in the Madrid Stock Exchange. Its main activity is Cash Transportation in Europe, Asia and South America. She is a Member of the Appointments and Remunerations Committee.
Ana holds a BSC Honours Degree in Agricultural Economics from Reading University. She also completed the 77th session of the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School in 2002.
Partner, Head of Private Equity Funds and Co-Investments, Executive Committee Member
Mani is a Partner at Quilvest Private Equity and Head of Funds & Co-Investments globally. He joined Quilvest in New York in 2005 and opened Quilvest’s Hong Kong office in 2010, where he is currently based. He is a member of the Executive Committee.
While at Quilvest, Mani developed the Asia and emerging market private equity programs and currently oversees Fund & Co-Investments globally, with a particular focus on Asia and the United States. Mani initially joined Quilvest in NY as a member of the direct investment team focused on lead and co-investments primarily in the United States.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Mani worked at Alvarez & Marsal, a prominent crisis management and restructuring advisory firm, where he worked with creditors
and distressed companies in various operational and financial turnaround situations.
Prior to A&M, Mani worked as the Director of Finance and Strategic Planning for a data center and data communications provider in the Northeastern United States. Mani started his career in the Media & Communications and International investment banking practices of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, both in New York and Hong Kong.
Mani received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Michigan. He is an advisory board member or board observer on a number of Quilvest’s funds and co-investments. In addition, Mani is on the board of EMPEA, the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. He is married with three children.
Matt is a Senior Associate. He works on the closing and due diligence of direct buyout investments.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2016, Matt worked as an Analyst at BMO Capital Markets in the Leveraged Finance Group where he worked on various debt financings. Matt graduated Summa Cum Laude from Villanova University where he studied Finance and Accounting.
Ben is a Principal in Quilvest’s direct investment team based in New York. He works on the sourcing, execution and management of direct buyout investments. Since joining Quilvest in 2013, Ben has participated in numerous private equity investments in the U.S. and in Europe, and serves or has served on the Board of Directors of a number of portfolio companies including Phaidon International (a multi-brand global recruitment business) and Command Alkon (vertical software).
Prior to joining Quilvest, Ben worked in the Global Consumer Products & Retail Group at UBS Investment Bank, where he worked on M&A transactions as well as various debt and equity financings.
Ben graduated with honors from Georgetown University where he studied Finance and Government.
Noam joined the New York Real Estate Investment Team as a Principal in 2019. Prior to joining Quilvest, Noam was a Senior Vice President in the Special Situations Debt Group at Clarion Partners LLC where he was responsible for the pursuit and strategic management of real estate mortgage loans.
Prior to Clarion, Noam was a Senior Vice President at Westport Capital Partners LLC, a real estate private equity fund manager.
Noam graduated from Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ) with a double major in Economics & Finance.
Catherine joined Quilvest in 2010. She is a Partner in the Hong Kong office. Catherine is responsible for the due diligence and execution of Private Equity fund investments and co-investments for QS GEO PEP, with a focus on Asia.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Catherine spent several years at HarbourVest Partners (Asia) in Hong Kong, most recently as a Vice President. She focused on primary partnership investments across Asia Pacific and committed over $150 million in capital to managers across developed and emerging Asia.
In addition, she took a lead role in strategic and portfolio construction planning for the region.
Prior to that, Catherine worked as a Consultant at Bain & Company in its Hong Kong, New York, and Boston offices. She advised clients on strategic and operational issues, including a number of projects with private equity managers and their portfolio companies.
Catherine holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Brown University with concentrations in Computer Science and Business Economics.
Hatem is a Director in the Dubai office.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Hatem was a founding member of the Principal Investments division at Samba Capital in Riyadh, focusing on alternative investment opportunities including private equity and real estate. Hatem also worked on M&A, ECM, and financing advisory transactions within the Corporate Finance & Investment Banking division at Samba Capital.
Previously, Hatem initiated and managed a joint-venture investment at Tamor Trading & Contracting Company in Riyadh. He also worked on global private equity and listed equity investments and portfolio company management at Dubai International Capital in Dubai. Hatem started his career in finance at Banque Saudi Fransi in Riyadh, an affiliate of the Credit Agricole Group.
Hatem holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
Matthew is a Senior Analyst on the New York Real Estate Investment Team focused on evaluating and closing direct real estate investments across the Americas. Prior to joining Quilvest, Matt was an Investment Banking Analyst in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group, where he worked on a wide range of financing, sell-side and buy-side transactions within the Real Estate, Lodging and Leisure sector.
Matt graduated summa cum laude from the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University with a degree in finance.

Jay is a Partner and the Co-Head of Quilvest’s Direct Private Equity Program based in New York focused on sourcing and closing buyout, leveraged recapitalization and growth equity investments in the U.S. and Canada. At Quilvest, Jay serves or has served on the Board of Directors of the following portfolio companies: Small Tubes Products (niche manufacturer of redrawn copper tube), Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza (casual dining restaurant chain), Crown Health Care Laundry Service (outsourced provider of linen services), Metro Franchising (largest Dunkin Donuts franchisee in the New York City metropolitan area), Luke’s Seafood (vertically integrated manufacturer and fast casual restaurant chain), Creative Extruded Products (manufacturer of extruded plastic products primarily serving the automotive segment) American Franchise Capital (Taco Bell and Applebee’s franchisee), Phaidon International (a multi-brand global staffing business) and QS Imaging (integrated provider to the diagnostic imaging equipment maintenance and repair market). Jay also has served as a Board Observer at Shock Doctor (branded sporting goods primarily focused on safety and performance).
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2010, Jay was a Principal at Centre Partners, a middle market private equity firm with over $3.0 billion of assets under management.
During his tenure at Centre, Jay served on the Board of Directors or as a Board Observer of the following portfolio companies: Ross Aviation (one of largest fixed base operators in the U.S.), Distant Lands Trading Co. (vertically integrated manufacturer of private label coffee), Orion International (specialty staffing business) and Maverick Media (owner of radio stations in small to medium sized markets).
Before joining Centre Partners, Jay was a Senior Associate at Catterton Partners, one of the leading consumer-focused middle market private equity firms, with over $2.0 billion of assets under management. Prior to Catterton, Jay was a Senior Analyst in investment banking at Legg Mason, focused on mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings of debt and equity securities and financial advisory services, primarily for middle market and emerging growth companies.
Jay graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with his Bachelor of Business Administration. Originally from Montreal, Canada, he is married and lives in New York City with his wife, daughter and son.
Gonzalo Tanoira was appointed director of the Company on June 10th, 2016. His term of office expires in the year 2022. Mr. Tanoira lives in Buenos Aires and is a Director of several Argentine companies. He is the president of the Board of Directors of SA San Miguel, the largest citrus producer of the southern hemisphere, with operations in Argentina, Uruguay and South Africa.
He is also Finance Director of Patagonia Gold, a mining company traded on the LSE with operations in the South of Argentina. He is director of Central Puerto, one of the largest energy generation companies in Argentina and of Grupo Peñaflor, a wine company.
He has recently been appointed by the new Argentine government as director in its national airliner, Aerolineas Argentinas.
In the past, Mr. Tanoira has worked in investment banking in New York as an analyst for Bear Stearns & Co, and in consulting as an Associate for Booz Allen & Hamilton in its offices in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Santiago de Chile.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Belgrano University (Buenos Aires) and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He is a member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and part of the business council of ESE, at the University of Los Andes (Chile)
Marc joined Quilvest’s Business Development team in 2018. He brings 18 years of experience in developing and managing relationships with Family Offices and Institutions across Europe with a focus on the DACH region and in the conception of tailor-made investment solutions across equities, fixed income securities, commodities and currencies.
Marc started his career as an Equity Derivatives sales for listed and structured investment products for the German, Austrian and South African market at Société Générale’s Corporate and Investment Bank.
After 6 years he moved to Exane BNP Paribas to help develop a Cross Asset investment franchise in Europe with a focus on Private Banks & Family Offices and Cross Asset investment solutions as well as Alternative Investments.
In 2012, Marc returned to Société Générale to lead the Business Development efforts within Global Markets, in Germany, Austria, Switzerland as well as in the UK, focusing on two clients segments: Single Family Offices and Holding companies. Marc and the team’s role was to advise clients on bespoke Cross Asset investment solutions, share financing and strategic equity stake management.
Marc studied at San Francisco State University, University of California Berkeley and University of Cologne, Germany from which he holds an MBA in Finance. He is fluent in five languages and married with two children.
Daniel joined Quilvest Capital Partners in 2019 and is a Vice-President, based in Paris. Daniel works closely with the Business Development, Investment, Operation teams on tasks covering the whole spectrum of Business Development activities, including the development of the strategy for the BD team, and consulting assignments for families offices across the globe on various topics such as investment strategy, or corporate & family governance.
Prior to joining Quilvest Capital Partners, Daniel spent two years as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Paris. He worked on various client assignments, covering a wide range of corporate and strategic topics (market entry, growth strategy, digital transformation, operating model, etc.), and focusing on Private Equity Due Diligences and Corporate Turnaround projects.
Daniel holds an MBA from INSEAD as well as two MSc in Engineering from the IFP-School and ESCPE Lyon.
He is married with one child.
George Varughese is a member of the investment committee of the GEO PEP S.C.A., the fund investment program of Quilvest. He is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal in New York and CEO of A&M Securities. He leads A&M’s Corporate Finance practice and provides advice on merger and acquisitions, financing and restructurings and has more than 30 years of experience in providing advice on a variety of financial transactions in several industries. He is also the Chairman of the firm’s opinion committee.
Before joining A&M, he was managing director with DLJ and later Credit Suisse where he was a partner in the Merchant Banking group.
George earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University. He has served as a Professor of Finance at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Birch Family services and the Vellore Foundation.

Thomas is a Partner based in Paris. He co-heads Quilvest’s direct investment team and he is a member of the Executive Committee.
Since joining Quilvest in 2005, Thomas has participated in numerous private equity investments in France and in Europe, and has served on the Board of Directors of a number of portfolio companies including Acrotec, Vanksen, Sogetrel, Eudonet, EDH and Phaidon.
Thomas started his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Lazard Frères, first in New York and then in London. While at Lazard, Thomas worked on buy-side, sell-side, and restructuring transactions in the US, Latin America, and Europe.
Thomas is a graduate of ESCP (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris) and holds a Master in Industrial Organization from La Sorbonne, awarded with honours.
He lives in Paris with his wife and three children.
Whit was a Managing Director and General Partner of TCR, a Quilvest affiliated mid-cap buyout fund in the United States, for 17 years. During his tenure at TCR, he sourced, selected and closed several buyout transactions. ln 2003, Whit founded Clearbrook Advisors, a private equity advisory firm.
Whit advises Quilvest and a select few other family offices in their fund selection process.
Prior to TCR, Whit was a Vice President at Chemical Bank.
Whit is a graduate of the University of Vermont, and is married with three children.
Marta is a Vice-President in the Paris office. She is part of the Investor Relations team and also works on the due diligence of fund investments in Central Eastern Europe, Russia and Africa.
Prior to joining Quilvest in 2011, Marta completed internships with BNP Paribas in the Global Equity & Commodity Derivatives department, where she was working at the European Convertible Bonds desk, and in Carrefour Property, a Real Estate arm of Carrefour Group, where she was part of the Corporate Finance team.
Marta received M.Sc. in Management with specialization in Finance from ESCP Europe and M.Sc. in International Business from Poznan University of Economics. She is also CFA Level II candidate.

Emile is a Partner, he is in charge of Business Development and Consulting globally. He is a member of the Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Emile was the CEO of AXA Group Solutions, the subsidiary in charge of processes and IT convergence globally (750 professionals serving 25 AXA entities in 16 countries).
From 1994 to 2008, Emile was with Accenture, where he led numerous strategy and organization assignments for some of Europe’s leading Banks and Insurance Companies.
He was promoted to Partner in 2004, and was appointed Managing Director of the French Insurance Practice in 2007.
Emile sits on several Family and business Boards.
Emile is a graduate of IEP Paris (Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris). He is married with three children.
Guy joined Quilvest in 2014 as a CEO of Quilvest & Partners. In 2018, Guy transitioned out of this previous role to become Senior Partner focused on the PE direct investments business. Guy has over 30 years of private equity experience across Europe, the USA and Emerging Markets. He has sourced and completed more than 50 private equity investments during his career in private equity.
Prior to joining Quilvest, Guy was a member of 3i Group Management Committee, Managing Partner of Growth equity investments, Managing Partner of Developing Markets, Chairman and Managing Partner of France and Managing Director of Benelux.
Before joining 3i Group in 1987, Guy worked at Eli Lilly and for a family owned business.
